Projected onto urban walls and experienced through Silent Disco Headphones, Street Art Opera fuses the energy and protest of street art with the dramatic force of operatic storytelling in a fresh and dynamic way. These 10-minute digital works offer immersive, thought-provoking experiences in public spaces.

Created by Welsh artists, including music creator Eadyth, composer Claire Victoria Roberts and graffiti artist Amelia Unity, the operas combine music, animation and urban art. In collaboration with street artists, singers, musicians and writers, these pieces explore themes of self-expression and a bold response to the climate crisis.

Rahmat – Mercy – Trugaredd

By Amelia Unity, Eadyth, Sam Hussain and Jamie TC Panton

Inspired by Sufism and hip-hop culture, this piece follows Sana as she pushes back against cultural and social limitations to explore her creativity and claim her space in the world. Fusing henna and graffiti-inspired visuals with a soaring, spiritual score, it’s an uplifting story of self-discovery and empowerment. Text in English, Welsh and Urdu.

Out of Time

By Claire Victoria Roberts, Giselle Ty and Lauren Orme
Music performed by Sinfonia Cymru

A darkly comic fantasy set in a future where nature reclaims its richness and beauty. Plants and animals rise up against extinction, flooding the streets with psychedelic colour. This surreal and operatic tale challenges us to reflect on our role in the climate crisis. Vibrant, wild, and deeply resonant.
