To make sure that everyone has access to the arts, partnering up is crucial.
We have appointed 47 Arts Associates from across Wales and beyond, from a range of backgrounds and specialisms, to supplement our knowledge and inform our thinking. All activists in outlook, they help us to deliver the ambitions within our Corporate Plan: For the Benefit of All.
Local Government and Public Service Boards
Our partnerships with the country's 22 Local Authorities provide a foundation for the funding and the development of the arts in Wales. Each Authority has Public Service Boards that bring together various decision-makers to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of the area.
We work closely with the BBC and S4C to reach new audiences for the arts and create new creative opportunities.
Arts and Health
It’s well known that taking part in creative activities can have a very positive impact on a person’s physical and mental wellbeing. This was recognised in 2017 with the signing of a three-year agreement between the Arts Council of Wales and the Welsh NHS Confederation.
