National Youth Arts Wales wishes to recruit a full-time National Youth Theatre of Wales Trainee Producer to join the team.

Salary: £22,932 per annum (based on the Real Living Wage of £12.60)
Full-time role (35 hours per week) February 2025 – March 2026
Location: Cardiff office, with flexible working possible, and some travel throughout Wales including occasional evening and weekend work

About the Role
As NYTW Trainee Producer, you will work specifically on all things NYTW, giving an opportunity to get hands-on experience and bespoke training to upskill in areas such as project management, safeguarding, marketing and budgeting. This role would be perfect for someone looking to work in producing/project management and arts administration within the creative and performing industries, specifically on our expanded 2025 NYTW Professional Pathways programme.

Person Specification
Employment experience is not essential for this post – we are interested in your potential and your other experiences that might make you suitable for this role. We want someone who is enthusiastic, committed, with energy and passion and a desire to develop a career in the cultural sector.
There are however specific eligibility criteria you must meet:
- You must be over 20 and under the age of 25 at the time of your appointment and;
- If you are applying as a school or college leaver you must have been in receipt of the EMA for the duration of your studies and have the paperwork to prove it;
- If you are applying as a graduate, you must have been in receipt of a full Welsh Maintenance Grant during the full period of your degree and have the paperwork to prove it and;
- You must be resident in Wales and have the right to work in the UK.
This entry level role is specifically reserved for a young person aged 20-25 from an under-represented background, as part of our Positive Action Scheme. The under-represented communities we prioritise are as follows:
- Young people from a Global Majority background
- D/deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent young people
