About the Festival of Light

In December 2024, Small World Theatre is launching a three-week event called the Festival of Light in Cardigan, funded by Cynnal y Cardi, UK Shared Prosperity Fund.  The Festival of Light will be an accessible, authentic, open-air exhibition of light installations that celebrate community life in West Wales.

The free festival will be open to the public from December 6th to December 29th, 2024. The festival will light up the whole town and will promote seasonal activities being organised by Castell Aberteifi, Cardigan Guildhall and Market, other local tourism and retail businesses (cafes, restaurants, accommodation providers etc) community groups, and arts venues.

The festival will work with local public transport providers to contribute to a special festival bus service for communities around Cardigan that are currently underserved by public transport to ensure access to the festival at weekends during December 2024.
