Following the success of Creative learning: Feed your mind, teachers and creative professionals are warmly invited to attend the Arts Council of Wales’ creative learning programme’s latest opportunity, Creative learning conversations.
United by a passion for creative learning experiences in schools, Creative learning conversations brings together teachers and creative professionals from across the Creative learning programme (and beyond) to connect, share, reflect and learn.
Creative learning conversations will give participants, whatever their level of understanding and experience of creative learning, ideas and inspire them to adopt, explore, implement and extend their own approaches to creative learning.
Spaces that spark the imagination, create opportunities for collaboration and nurture an inquisitive mindset will be developed to support the Professional learning of teachers and creative professionals alike. Thought-provoking sessions, delivered in a variety of formats, will be led by teachers, creative professionals and members of the Arts Council of Wales Creative learning team in response to the interests and ideas of participants. Sessions might include:
- project sharing sessions from participating teachers and creative professionals,
- panel discussions on creative learning related topics and themes,
- online workshops exploring creative learning pedagogy.
Teachers will be invited to discuss how participating in the Creative learning programme and using creating learning pedagogy has supported them as they implement the Curriculum for Wales and embed creative approaches to teaching and learning into their practice.
Creative learning conversations will be a series of ongoing events, throughout the academic year, with sessions designed in response to the interests of teachers and creative professionals. The first two sessions, Creative learning conversations: Film club, will enable participants to watch and discuss project case study films from across the creative learning programme.
