The Coronavirus outbreak has put everyone in an extremely difficult situation.  At the present time, the UK Government has advised people to avoid gatherings and crowded places such as pubs, clubs and theatres.  This has obvious consequences for Night Out.

Given current circumstances, we’re asking promoters that have an event programmed over the next 12 weeks to consider carefully whether it should go ahead.  Should you decide to cancel the event, we’ll relax our standard terms of agreement and pay up to two thirds of the performer fee, for any show costing £900 or less. For those shows costing more than £900, we will pay our maximum financial contribution of £600.

There will be no payment required from promoters towards events that are cancelled.

We have also taken the decision not to commit to any new applications to the Night Out scheme during April, May and June, unless the situation changes. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and our hope is to re-open the scheme in due course, in line with Government guidelines.

We know how much people value the activities promoted by Night Out, and in these difficult times the enjoyment that these events bring is needed more than ever.  We look forward to seeing performances reinstated as soon as it’s safe and advisable to do so.  In the meantime, please stay safe and we look forward to speaking to you again soon.
