During the coming days and weeks, Arts Council of Wales staff based in mid and west Wales will be moving in to Yr Egin – the cultural hub at University of Wales Trinity St Davids in Carmarthen.
This will allow staff who have been working largely from home since the start of the pandemic to have desk space once again in an office, as well as access to meeting rooms.
Commenting today, Rebecca Nelson, Director Finance and Business Services, Arts Council of Wales said:
“This is an exciting development that clearly demonstrates the Arts Council of Wales’ commitment to having an office presence in different parts of Wales. Our staff located in mid and west Wales were based at the offices of CAVS in Carmarthen for eight years or so – up until the start of the pandemic – and we’re grateful to them for their support over the years.
“However, post-pandemic, we’ve been reconsidering our office needs in discussion with our staff in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Powys and Yr Egin was the perfect fit for our current needs.
“We will be using four hot-desks for our staff and are delighted to also have access to Yr Egin’s meeting rooms, as we need them. Staff will benefit greatly, I’m sure, from the networking opportunities afforded by being located within such a creative cultural hub.”
