Part artist talk, part workshop, this session explores playful and meaningful ways to connect with the seasons and cycles within us and outside of us, with a focus on working with neurodivergence.

Artist and writer Kathryn (Karn) John shares their practice of making foraged botanical inks and earth pigment paints gathered from the places where they live, work and walk. With a diagnosis of ADHD in 2023, and supported by Arts Council Wales funding, Kathryn is currently deep in the research of observing their own creative cycles in order to nurture a sustainable professional practice.

They will also introduce some simple processes for seasonal connection such as joyful ink-making from hedgerow berries, short free-writing exercises and a gentle sensory meditation.

Kathryn will also introduce the things that support them as a neurodivergent artist and share ways that these can support your own art-making.

Please bring with you (but not essential):
