Welsh Storyteller Phil Okwedy’s solo show, The Gods Are All Here now available to watch online on demand this December.
Following a successful tour across 20 dates in England this autumn, and his earlier tour across Wales in 2022, Welsh Storyteller Phil Okwedy, with support from producers, Adverse Camber will now be streaming The Gods Are All Here on demand from 11 December 2023 until 1 January 2024.
Sparked by the discovery of a series of letters from his father in Nigeria to his mother in Wales, The Gods Are All Here is a compelling, lyrical and warm, one-man performance from first-class storyteller, Phil Okwedy.
Phil’s captivating performance skilfully weaves myth, song, folktales and legends of the African continent and diaspora with an astonishing personal story that uncovers Phil’s experiences of growing up as a child of dual heritage in 1960 & 70’s Wales.
The Gods Are Here explores equality, freedom, racism, family and growing up without your birth parents, in a touching, funny and evocative performance, The Gods Are All Here is both timeless and very much a story of now.
Born in Cardiff, Phil never lived with either of his parents but was raised in Pembrokeshire by his long-term foster mother. In association with Arena Theatre and Theatrau Sir Gar, audiences now have the chance to watch the show online if they missed it the first time around, or watch it again.

So many audiences have asked us where they can see this it again, or wanting to tell others about it and we are really pleased to be able to offer an online version, that is also accessible with options to watch with Closed Captions, BSL interpreted and Audio Descriped versions.”
The Gods Are All Here is available on demand from 11 December until 1 January 2024 (last time of screening midnight on 31 December).
