Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM UHB) is seeking an experienced partner to support the strategic development of a sustainable Arts & Health programme for our region.

About the Opportunity
With support from the Arts Council of Wales, CTM UHB will commission a partner to lead on shaping and embedding a long-term framework for Arts & Health across our hospitals, community services, and mental health settings.

This work will build on previous programmes and partnerships and a strategic review commissioned in 2023, to align with the Health Board’s CTM 2030 vision and CTM NHS Charity objectives. The aim is to create a robust structure for arts engagement that can continue to deliver impact for staff, patients, and communities beyond 2026.

Key areas of delivery include:

  • Stakeholder engagement and consultation across CTM UHB and local communities.
  • Development of a sustainable strategic framework for Arts & Health.
  • Mapping and strengthening partnerships, and identifying flagship initiatives.
  • Producing resources to support long-term capacity and sustainability.
  • Engaging with CAMHS to support participation in the national Arts & Minds programme.
  • Creating clear and compelling outputs that demonstrate alignment with local and national priorities.

We are looking for:
Practitioners or organisations with:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Arts & Health sector in Wales and beyond.
  • Previous experience working with the NHS, healthcare systems, or similar public bodies.
  • Strong strategic development and project management expertise.
  • Understanding of local communities in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead inclusive engagement and evidence the value of Arts & Health.

Timescale and Budget
The project will run from October 2025 to March 2026.
Funding available: £25,000.
