An open call-out for experienced artist facilitators to lead educational arts workshops in support of our project, Space to Grow and Create, funded through the Child Poverty Innovation and Supporting Communities Grant from Welsh Government, 2025-2026.
Content:
The Arts & Heritage Team at Swansea Bay University Health Board are looking to commission 3-4 artist facilitators to lead arts and health activities for Children and Young People in the Swansea region. We wish to commission artists with a strong background in delivering innovative programmes which combine the creative arts, nature, and food and growing activities to engage, inspire and support vulnerable, disadvantaged children and young people. Our aim is to improve access to enjoyable and beneficial social prescribing activities, support new skills learning and introduce new perspectives.
Successful applicants will be required to run approximately 12 weekly workshops in the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area from September 2025 through to Spring 2026, and include an additional sharing event.
Please provide us with:
- a brief outline proposal of the work you would deliver
- an idea of what the young participants would gain from your workshops
- examples of any related previous work experience
- confirmation of DBS status
- Budget - costs per day including materials
Applicants must have demonstrable experience working within arts and health settings, and with vulnerable young people, and be able to travel to areas including Ammanford, Morriston and Baglan in the Swansea area. Swansea Bay UHB is committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across our services
