Location: This role can be based at any one of the Arts Council of Wales offices in Cardiff, Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen. We are currently working in a hybrid way.
Our benefits include 30 days annual leave, 2.5 privilege days, flexible working hours/pattern, cycle to work scheme and a final salary pension (6%).
About this role
The Arts Council of Wales is looking for someone to join the Grants Processing team as a Grants Assistant. The Grants Processing team plays a key role in helping to administer and co-ordinate the delivery of the wider Arts Funding team activity.
Grants Assistants maintain the information contained in the Arts Council’s grant management systems. This includes:
- assisting with the set-up of systems to make funding schemes available to applicants;
- processing grants through the grants system for the life of the grant;
- ensuring that the data contained on the grants system is accurate;
- assisting and advising applicants and staff on processes relating to funding systems and guidelines;
- reviewing application budgets; and
- ensuring applications adhere to the Arts Council’s governance controls.
About you
If you are good at working with a variety of different people and are particularly comfortable working with figures, this role could be for you. This role is for someone who likes the mix of numerical and administrative analysis and who can communicate financial and other information clearly to others.
Welsh language
We work in both English and Welsh. Fluency in Welsh (both written and spoken) is desirable but not essential for this post. Upon appointment we can support you to learn, develop and improve your language skills and to increase your confidence in speaking and writing in Welsh.
