Below are just a few of the arts and health projects we are funding. 

sPARKY Samba 

People living with a Parkinson’s diagnosis are experiencing the joy and wellbeing benefits of Samba culture through a pilot partnership between Parkinson’s UK and Barracwda Samba.  Read more.

Creative resilience | Chydnerthedd

Building on previous successes with inpatients experiencing mental ill health, this partnership between Arts Care Gofal Celf, Hywel Dda University Health Board and West Wales Action for Mental Health aims to provide them with creative tools that help build resilience and improve wellbeing. Find out more here.

Dance to Health 

Preventing falls in older people is a priority for Wales’ health boards. Aesop’s Dance to Health programme is successfully using creative dance to address this challenge, and tackle loneliness, through its five-year partnership with Swansea Bay University Health Board. More here.

Creative prescribing development programme 

This multi-partner arts-on-prescription initiative, led by Hywel Dda University Health Board, is seeking to address health inequalities and improve communities’ mental health and wellbeing in a cohesive and joined-up way. Find out more.
