The new channel will promote the success stories of the 2023 Llais y Lle scheme, sharing content from some of the exciting projects that have benefitted local communities across Wales.
Llais y Lle was launched in 2023 to support creative individuals to work with communities to develop the use and ownership of the Welsh language. Some of last year's projects ranged from a festival to celebrate the wild ponies of the Carneddau, to a study of the role of the language in Butetown; and creative workshops for young people in Montgomeryshire. These projects, and many others, can be found on the new 'Llais y Lle' channel on AM.
Einir Sion, Welsh Language Enabler at The Arts Council for Wales, is excited to share these stories and launch the new platform: "The 2023 Llais y Lle projects have been brilliant and have delivered real impact in communities across Wales and the Welsh language. These stories deserve to be heard, and AM is the perfect platform to do just this.
"In May, we'll be announcing the successful projects for the 2024 Llais y Lle cohort, which I have no doubt will have the same impact as these stories."
