Opportunity:

Swansea Council is seeking the services of an energetic, collaborative, and experienced Creative Producer to lead and deliver an outdoor performance event with Matsena Productions. The performance will be a fusion of street art, music, and sport in response to the introduction of breaking, sport climbing, skateboarding, and surfing in the Olympic Sports of Paris 2024. The performance is currently scheduled for the weekend of 5 October 2024 at Museum Park, Swansea (additional city centre locations may be possible).

The Producer will be expected to collaborate with the Matsena Brothers and take an operational lead to deliver in time and within budget, working with members of the arts, events, and sports departments of Cultural Services at Swansea Council. There will also be an expectation to engage and work with the diverse communities of Swansea in the lead up to the event, encouraging community participation for the performance in October. The event will target diverse generational groups and aim to engage both enthusiasts of urban arts and sports and those new to these disciplines, as participants and audiences.

The Creative Producer role and event is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which is part of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda.
