Whitestone Primary School are inviting applications from Creative Practitioners (individuals / partnerships / studios / organisations) to work with a class of 14 Year 2 pupils (girls and boys, aged 6-7 in the last year of the KS1 Curriculum) to develop creative ways to use the school’s outdoor spaces to improve pupils’ numeracy and digital competency skills. The enquiry also aims to improve pupils’ wellbeing through creative and outdoor activities.
The school has some fantastic outdoor spaces, including a wooded area, a full-size rugby pitch, stone circles and beautiful oak trees. They also have an Eco Committee.
Whitestone Primary will celebrate its 50th birthday this year and sees this Lead Creative School enquiry as a key milestone in their celebrations and hope that the lessons learnt may be applied across the school.
