Span Arts, a community arts charity based in Narberth, Pembrokeshire is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and exceptional individual to become our Distance Arts Programmer to develop and deliver Art at a Distance; an online socially distanced artistic programme to reduce isolation and loneliness, alleviate fear, stress and boredom, build community networks and communications until 31st December 2020.

Art at a Distance will build the organisation’s resilience and capacity to weather this most difficult time and is in line with our vision to make Art as Social Change in Rural Wales and to capitalise on the power of the arts to make people feel better.

The post will work closely with the Span Arts Director to develop and deliver an inclusive and accessible online programme for the people of Pembrokeshire.  The Distance Arts Programmer will plan, prepare and develop projects and events in readiness for restarting normal operations whilst maintaining our public profile.

Responsible to: Span Arts Director 

Location: Home based until Covid 19 restrictions are lifted then office based in Narberth.

Salary:£6547 for 5 month contract, 25 hours per week

1st August – 31st Dec 2020

(FTE £22,000 p.a. based on a 35 hour week)

Working Hours: 25 hours per week – spread over 4 to 5 days by arrangement 

Some evening & weekend work will be required

Term: Temporary (Immediate start desirable)

Holiday entitlement:5.6 weeks (28 days) per annum pro rata including Bank Holidays
